From Cybersecurity Stabilization to Governed AI in Insurance

JLS Technology USA | Anonymous client case study

The challenge

An insurance organization engaged JLS Technology USA to rebuild a fragmented cybersecurity and technology program ahead of an approaching regulatory audit. The organization needed rapid stabilization and experienced leadership to establish a sustainable foundation.

The turnaround

Will Lassalle personally led the program rebuild and audit effort. Within 90 days, the program was stabilized and audit-ready. The organization passed its first regulatory audit within a year and a second five years later.

Across nearly six years of JLS’s engagement, the organization completed multiple successful audits and experienced no security breaches.

Expanding into production AI

In a later phase, JLS developed a comprehensive AI adoption strategy and governance program to support business adoption and evolving requirements.

The work brought AI-enabled claims management and fraud detection into production. AI automated claims-management workflows while people reviewed anomalies and highly sensitive or high-value claims. Fraud detection capabilities flagged risky claims for human evaluation.

Governance included guardrails, logging, spot checks and an auditable trace of each transaction. Employee training, documented workflows, runbooks and updated manuals supported implementation and ongoing operation.

Business impact

Automation reduced time spent on claims workflows, while faster turnaround supported improved customer satisfaction. Existing employees gained capacity to identify additional use cases, improve business processes and explore potential new revenue streams.

The engagement combined an urgent program turnaround with sustained regulatory readiness and practical AI adoption supported by human oversight.
